The Pennsylvania Gifted Education program is funded by the Department of Education through the Bureau of Special Education and the Bureau of Teaching and Learning Support. The program is designed to meet the needs of gifted students, defined as “children with exceptionalities,” who are in need of specially designed instruction.

This site has been developed and is maintained by the Center for Schools and Communities and it serves as a clearinghouse for news and resources for educators, parents and students. It is also the access point for the Gifted Education Online Professional Development Series, which is a series of live, online sessions featuring state and national experts in the field of gifted education. The online session recordings are also archived and available from this site.

If you would like more information or have any questions about Pennsylvania Gifted Education, please contact us. Also, please notify us of new Gifted Education events and resources for possible posting to this site.
